This is the time of year that school starts, and there are some children that are unable to obtain the school supplies they need to excel isnschool. WE CAN HELP! Social Action is having its annual school supply drive to help our local community children so they can get a great start for the 2014-2015 school year. We need school supplies (all supplies help!) or a monetary donation so we can buy supplies for you... it is EASY, you can just bring them with you to the first day of Hebrew School on August 24th or you can bring them at any time through September 21 and drop them off at the temple. This is NOT only for parents of school age children, you can bring your donations whenever you come to the temple... the children of our community need your help... please donate to this amazing cause. We have a contest for the religious school classes (rules and details to come). We have a lot of exciting projects coming up this year, both social and project driven, so if you want to join the Social Action committee please e-mail Camy Schwam- Wilcox at email@example.com.
We are still collecting food for Jewish Family Services! There is a box at the temple to drop off non-perishable donations.
The Steinmetz Family School of Chai announces the opening of a Pre-Kindergarten program for 4 year olds called Parparim...Butterflies! Enroll your 4 year olds in our program especially designed to allow pre-k aged children to spread their wings and experience Judaism through taste, touch, sight, sound & smell! Classes begin Sunday, August 24th from 9:30-12:30. You can register online through the CRJ website. If you have any questions please contact Sheryl Sacharoff.
The 2014-2015 Membership Directory is an excellent way to reach out to our congregants. CRJ members look to the Membership Directory to find merchants and vendors in our community who strive to provide them with the products and services they desire. Please consider submitting an ad for this years directory. Ad form, ad copy and payment must be submitted by August 25. Please contact Lucy Eichner with any questions.
